Chapter 1: General Provisions

Article 1 [Purpose]

The purpose of these terms and conditions is to stipulate the rights, obligations and responsibilities of UModeler, Inc. (the Company) users in using the Company and the beta version of software products and related services (this Software) provided by the Company.

Article 2 [Effect and Change of Terms of Use]

  1. By checking the box with the link to these Terms of Use and clicking “Agree” or downloading, installing, or using this Software, users are deemed to have understood these Terms of Use and agreed to all the terms and conditions of these Terms of Use.
  2. The Company may amend the contents of these Terms to the extent that it does not violate applicable laws, and the Company will notify users 7 days in advance through the Company's website, or 30 days in advance if the modified Terms are directly related to the users' interests.
  3. If we amend the Terms in accordance with Article 2, Paragraph 2, we will notify users through e-mail seven days prior to the effective date of the change, or thirty days prior if the content of the revised Terms is substantial or unfavorable to them, and obtain their consent. The user will be regarded to have consented if he or she does not express his or her intent to refuse the amended conditions within the specified time frame.
  4. The user may seek termination of the Agreement if he or she does not accept the new Terms, and the provision of Services subject to the modified Terms may be limited or impossible.

Article 3 [Notification to Members]

  1. When notifying individual users, the Company will send the content through email to the user-specified email address or via text message to the user-specified phone number.
  2. When notifying all users, the Company must post the content within the service or on the website for a minimum of 7 days so that users can easily identify it. In the case of matters affecting the user's use contract, however, notification shall be issued in line with Paragraph 1.
  3. Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraphs 1 and 2, if there is no e-mail address or phone number provided by the user, or if the user cannot be notified at the e-mail address or phone number provided by the user, the Company may notify the user by the means specified in the text of Paragraph 2.

Article 4 [Terms of Use and Rules]

Matters not specified in these Terms of Use are governed by the Act on the Regulation of Terms, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and other related laws and regulations.

Article 5 [Definition of Terms]

The definitions of the main terms used in these Terms of Use are as follows.

  1. “This Software” and “UModeler software” refer to beta versions of software developed or produced by the Company and for which copyright and ownership rights are retained. These terms may include computer software, recorded media, printed and online or electronic documentation, as well as any accompanying executable files, add-ons, user manuals, help files, or other files.
  2. “This License” and “right to use” mean the right to use according to this Agreement granted by the Company to users in relation to the use of this Software.
  3. "Computer" refers to an information processing device that can transmit and receive information by being connected to a communication network, e.g., a server computer or client computer.
  4. "Use" and "service" refer to all actions that cause this Software to be stored in the computer's main or auxiliary storage device, CD-ROM, or other storage devices, or to be installed, executed, or displayed on the screen.
